ANVIA Almelo desk light

This model also called the horseshoe.
It dates back to the 1950's early 1960's in a period when Jan Hoogervorst designed various modernist lamps.
This rare orange / black model design icon is in good condition.

Height - 35 cm. / 13.8 inch.
Diameter hood - 12 cm. / 4.7 inch.

Status : good vintage condition, small dent.
Lamp has the usual old-age scratches.

Edison screw-fitting E27 for a 40 Watt (max) light bulb.
We recommend LED bulbs.
Fully cleaned and equipped with a new electrical cord with switch, 116 cm / 45.7 inch long.

The company ANVIA was founded in 1909 by a German entrepreneur, Max Liebert.
The 50s - 60s are the glory days when Industrial designer JJM Hoogervorst from Haarlem manages to create dozens of top designs. In the 80s Anvia disappears. Anvia was resurrected in 2014 and has produced several gems again in recent years. Not this desk model yet, but they already have a floor lamp nr. 1505 with the horseshoe.
