Very nice vintage wall lamp from BUR Leuchten with a rectangular black shade with elongated perforations on two sides.
Two arms with 3 hinges, wall mounting plate with on / off button.

Design in the 60's by Max Bietenholz.
Produced by BuR Leuchten (Bünte und Remmler).

Lamp is made of metal.
Color : black and white.

In good vintage condition, over the years, some scratches.
Very nice rare light.
With wall plate to properly fix the lamp, this plate is often missing.

Edison screw-fitting (E27) for one 60 Watt. lightbulb.

Fully cleaned and equipped with a new white electrical cord with switch, 280 cm. / 110 inch long.

Company origin :
Bünte & Remmler emerged from the Wagner & Goldschmidt company based in Frankfurt in 1880. BuR developed as a petroleum lamp factory as a well-known manufacturer of high-quality lighting fixtures in Germany as early as the turn of the century. In 1962, BuR was sold to Hoffmeister & Sohn KG. BuR produced very sophisticated lighting programs in Frankfurt and later in Lüdenscheid.
