Condition : This iconic lamp has suffered some damage over time, but despite some dents, scratches and oxidation, it remains a fantastic design item.

The Dutch architect and designer Louis Kalff (1897-1976) joined Philips in 1925.
He modernize the visual image of the company by designing advertisements and a range of electric products.
In 1946 he became Philips chief designer and head of the lighting division.
In this position he designed a large number of lighting fixtures.
